A right royal weekend

Can you seriously tell me
That anyone cares
For another bank holiday now?
We’ll all sit in the pub
(and yes there, that’s the rub)
As employees are wondering how…

…to reclaim those lost hours
as production is cut, 
to appease the woke left a days leave.
So they close down production
with no wage reduction
as profits from lost sales will cleave…

…a large chunk of the wealth
from employers accounts,
So in future all wages are slashed.
Those expenses and bonuses 
trimmed from the sales
and rich dreams from the woke 
are all dashed.
