The run for the sun

Well that was summer wasn’t it, I saw a bit of sun, I saw a few women in skimpy outfits and I saw a paddling pool outside. Then it all went south! Rain, clouds, wind, hail (well not yet) but you get the picture. As I sit outside the Vale Cafe in Rothbury enjoying an earl grey and a slice of orange cake (I had a bacon sarnie earlier and the bloody chair snapped) I watch the number of bikers dwindle because of the inclement weather! Will they melt? Will they disappear in a cloud of smoke screaming ‘what a world?’

Seriously, it’s ‘spitting’ it’s not real rain by any stretch of the imagination but the elder generation have it in their minds that a drop of precipitation will bring on their lumbago and gout! Jesus!, the worst thing that’s happened to me so far, is me tea cooled down a little quicker than normal! And STILL the tourists walk by looking for a place to sit down and have a snack after walking around up here. (And some of them are under two feet tall) Bikers these days, are a shabby lot.

Well, my time here has drawn to an end as its been a couple of hours since I sat me arse down. Many cups of tea, a lovely bacon sarnie and a slice of cake (unfortunately as I got up for the toilet, the frikkin chair snapped) I’m really not that fat honest! Let’s see what the rest of the north east has to offer a lone rider on the hunt for adventure. Catch you all again soon 🙂
