Well yesterday was strange! I obviously wanted some ‘Me’ time, so I went off and had my very own adventure in the wilds. After a good few hours I came home and decided the weather was just perfect for a bike ride south this time. Oh it was glorious! The beaches were filled with couples, dog walkers and families! Like a true British spring day. After chatting to a guy with a Harley (for about an hour) I regrettably made my way back home again. When I arrived I noticed this…..
Now I knew that ‘Benicia’ wasn’t adding caravans to the estate, so my initial concern was for my neighbours downstairs! Was it theirs? Did they know about it? And why? Just why? Anyhoo! Upon asking them, I was informed that it had been put there during the night!!! And they had no clue by whom. (Strange that I heard voices last night and thought it was them, it was obviously the little scallies who had stolen it) so even though I had been in and out my place a few times already during the day, I didn’t spot it!!! (Eyes and ears me)
Asking all around the gaff, no one saw or heard much so I thought fuck it, let the police deal with this (if someone had genuinely owned it, it had NO place parked there! Thas MY gable end! This is when I realised Ashganistan police only work 9 to 5 Monday to Friday!!! REALLY!!! But the lovely woman on the 101 helpline took as much information as she could then asked what sort of car it was!!! This ineptitude got the better of me and I may have been a bit abrupt with her! I had already told her the fact it was a bloody CARAVAN.
By the time I got back home from the CLOSED police station a car turned up with a tow bar and a couple of old buggers in the front. The police had taken the information and ran a check on the VRN to find the owner! Apparently it had been stolen from a street in town the night before (why???) but I gave the old boy a hand and got it hitched up to his car (yes, the same VRN) and he took it away! So my good deed for the day was done, they old couple had bought it to ‘do up’ for the summer and hadn’t had it long! So now at least they had it back, let’s hope they secure it a little better next time. Oh! And if anyone reads this who knows any pikie caravan stealing bastards, if you’re in me friends list, please remove yourselves, if you have just happened across this, come and see me, I have a little friend would like to chat about thieves and PTSD 🙂
