Saturday, suns out, it’s dry no rain no wind SUMMER! (Well sort of, just one day so far) and I’ve travelled into Totnes to do some admin! (When I say admin, I mean have a coffee, a lol at the local wildlife and a bacon sandwich) Well today there certainly is a lot of wildlife! Starting with a flock of cyclists (spandex, cycling shorts, clip on feet and dodgey head gear) moving along to the students who seem to appear in the heat! All manner of strange accents and languages popping around the place! But I won’t complain, I look on and listen with amazement 😄
Sitting in my usual haunt (well one of them) I’m witnessing the emergence of some kind of strange beast! Purple hair and make up, the epitome of ‘who gives a fuck?’ And again, it’s brilliant to see 🙂 unusually today, there seems to be a shit load of bikes parked in the town, all tourers, (didn’t get a pic) so all I can surmise from this is because of the weather and the quaint vista of life here, it’s a big place on the travelling map! (I’ll take a look at my Hong Kong book of tourist roads when I get back in my back pack.
So my coffee and sarnie come to an end for this morning, as I listen to the twanging tones of some dude on his electric guitar on the streets and the hum of ‘Suvvern’ accents as a table full of cackling Essex girls lounges in for a fry up. I think forward to a light lunch in a local pub in the local village! It’s all good people! Enjoy your weekend and be good to each other
