Lines from songs now, I haven’t stuck one in for ages for someone to guess!!! (Should be easy really)
So it’s a bank holiday in the UK, I would say it is the same here, but every Monday is the same. HOT, fun, seasideish, and holiday like. I sit and cool off beneath the parasol (not to be confused with the parachute (can’t be really, we haven’t got one, and it would blow away)) no, you see it’s only 0830 here and the temp has shot up to a disgraceful 33 degrees. The breeze is welcoming and the shade is necessary. Another Instructors Development Course (IDC) and the candidates have just arrived and started talking about the bathroom habits of the guy in the room next door. This is going to be arduously embarrassing.
Harking back to the last few days and dives, I’m sure my dad will appreciate the photographs I have taken for him of the underwater life around here. Yesterday I was helping Martyn with a skill set and was resting on the seabed when I felt my fin being attacked. (I thought originally it was a rock rolling down from the top and squishing me.) nope it was a buried fish, he had a good old nosh on me fin tip, then slowly buggered off across the sand, stopping every now and then to have a grumble, then burying itself about three meters away. The size of this thing beggars belief especially the speed in which it buried itself again.
A lovely Chinese meal last night of chicken (I wish I could remember what it was with, but I can’t) I know it contained rice and tomatoes but I’m buggered if I can take a guess. My company was impeccable and the evening was absolute fun. I’ve walked into areas of Dahab which I never knew existed. Way past “Scubaone” my dive shop of choice. Past some dodgy looking locals and wash shops, but it was all fun. Now walking back to my gaff at 0130 at night past these dodgy geezers again, and wild dogs with attitudes. I was scared a little I must admit,
No doubt this will reach you with the same gusto that it was sent, and I hope it brings a sliver of fun to your day. To all of you out there in the big wide world, have fun x
