Long long tile, but I like the tune and the sentiment remains. Today sees the return of the sun….again, an almost daily event around these parts, and I suppose there are worse places to be.yesterday I missed the pod of dolphins in the bay, so today we are looking for a HUGE octopus that resides near the reef (I know it’s not the same, but I haven’t seen one in ages) it might end up to be something else completely, but it’s still diving the reef, so smiley faces all around.
It’s been a couple of days since I actually started this entry, things (life) just creeps up and distracts the shit out you. Since three days ago, I’ve met a plethora of individuals (some of them sane) and made some friends (as you do). I’ve dived a multitude of dives honing my skill as an underwater teacher (mind the blackboard and chart don’t work so good down there) to be honest, I ad a good grounding with the guys from Cy-Dive (as a busy place last year I ad the opportunity to dive the shit out the med) so my springboard was sound.
Now I just need to et my head in some books and figure out what the hell I’m supposed to know about pressure and shit! Diving with Chris, has been pretty cool as we descend onto the reef and still look at it in awe. Meanwhile at a “Sandy Patch” (there’s always a sandy patch to kneel on) we practice out teaching techniques. Today however, Chris must have left his testicles in his purse as he has a poorly ear and can’t dive. So out with Kareem for a couple of training and logging dives apply days, I’m 98 so far, tomorrow I get me goal 100.
Russians, Egyptians, Israelis, Finnish, and some English, this place is an eclectic mix of the worlds wonderers (for now) but the tourist trade SHOULD get going again soon, a people realise that this place is not affected by anything going on around Egypt. It’s too chilled and aid back to do any of that anymore. Right I gotta go and eat falafel and drink tea before my self study session kicks me in the head.
To everyone really, take care of each other x
