Half a day today, rising after lunch time as last night took its toll. Singing and dancing on the boat with a stomach full of “sex on the beach” and some lovely food does not make for an early alarm call. As the actual day had been left to God and good graces it just sort of went with the flow. Trinket shopping down the harbour (actually it was just an excuse to retrieve Bob form the car park as i really couldn’t drive her home last night (even if she was pointing in the right direction)) then a cold coke for me and a copper berg for kim on the marina and theta was it really.
To the mall for some shopping for myself and ‘Costa Coffee’ to replenish my beans (one tin a week is sort of taking the Michael a little) then a siesta. Honestly today was written off to the max. Although a late dinner at the ‘Phucket’ Chinese with Gareth and Nikkie to round Kims holiday off. Again the poor waitress was totally bemused with our accents and didn’t look too clever when i asked her four time to repeat something. (I genuinely didn’t understand it when she said “Scoozeme” I feel a total heel.
Well that was Kim’s week in Paphos. Starting off with Paragliding, then Water park, then Snorkelling, then a dip in the ocean in SCUBA gear and finally a show boat cruise full of booze. Her bags are packed with enough tobacco to start a smoking club, and she has eaten and drank in some of the best places Cyprus has to offer. We now know Aphrodite has done everything and been everywhere as all around you are things with her name on. I for one have put a pound or two on during her visit, but also i have drank some really stupid things (all in the name of keeping up appearances with the holidaying masses you understand) Not much in the way of a story day granted, but sometimes you do have normal days.
After the jet leaves it will be all hands on deck to get the apartment back into some sort of blokish order, wishing machine set to deluded and floors mopped. fridge back to its empty state and X box permanently plugged in!!!!
For my friends X
