The older I get, the more open minded I get. No, not open minded, more like… hopeful. You know the hope that you feel when you want the best for others. Well today I got my hopes crushed upon the rocks of despair by (I want to say friend, but this person is a shell of themselves). That old parasite C2H6O has burrowed into their soul and nested there quite happily, excreting every now and then a toxic odorous malignancy called ‘shite talk’

I wasn’t going to lament upon the loss of dignity from anyone’s standpoint, but I feel I really need to address this in some form or other. Lots of guys and girls have problems, hell, I have a telephone directory full of them… including after hours contact numbers. But when you can only operate at the wrong end of a bottle someone should let you know. If you ignore them and lose the ones you love, then it’s a road that you can only navigate by yourselves. Today I was a crossroads… well more like a give way sign really. A give way sign that had been run over in a dark offshoot of said road by the ghost at the wheel of his/ her car.

Today was a bad day, oh not for me though, I toasted a friend as I walked out of the eatery and out of their life. With a hug and a ‘good luck’, this little ray of sunshine dipped behind the clouds and petered out forever. Next came, let’s not call it a letdown as i sort of knew it was coming, a setback on my renewed diving adventure. I’m still adventuring, but just not with persons non important this time. I had given a deadline of a couple of weeks (yeah that ended last week… but I extended it out of professional courtesy) yup, that was stretched and snapped today.

My trust in my thoughts and friendships have had a good doing over this month, but I’m sure some of them are cast on stronger footings than others. Just remember kids, don’t drink and don’t give me the cold shoulder when you can’t do the job you were being payed to do. BTW this is all happening on Cyprus lol. Folk in the uk are okay… as long as you get your digital ID cards hahah.
