Dark and secluded
I’ve only concluded
I sit in unfrequented parts.
I’m somewhat deluded
Yet feel so excluded
That’s right when my reverie starts.
My punchy one liners
Whilst chatting to diners
Encourages lively debate.
But oft, when the time
Slips away from the rhyme
I can feel the urge slowly abate.
So sit and eat cake
For my sanities sake
I shall bow my head down to the page.
I’ll never forsake
All these chances I take
As I know I’ll get better with age.
