You see it, you smell t, you hear it you know you are in Bangkok.(or at least you know you are not back in the UK) for a start the airport is filled with flowers and statues and colours and smiley people. You go to the train and that is guarded by the happiest security men and women you will ever see. Travelling on the express takes you through green bamboo spiralled wetlands onto shanty tin houses then squalor turns to housing developments and apartments then the city opens up in front of you

Anyway, the pretty lights didn’t disappoint. They twinkled everywhere you could hang a twinkly thing, all the way down the streets to the river, once at the rivers edge we fell upon a sort of street dance off for the local kids. Pretty cool, but Taiwanese trying to be black rappers just didn’t do it justice. All ‘Diss’ and ‘Dat MOFO’ just didn’t wash. So off on a trip to find a boat.

Walking down back streets and coming upon dad ends didn’t cause too much concern as the fact that we were heading way off course did.walking down now last street took us to the rivers edge (I have no idea what this river is called btw) but the local fishermen were entrenched and no ferry or pleasure boat honed into view, just eight of the biggest rubbish barges in the world. Back to our road then for a spot of tiffin!

Out came the caramelised scorpions and what have you, but we opted for the easy option tonight, a Thai Green Curry with pork. With added peppers for a laugh. My lips still burn now at the memory. Food done, walk completed, in bed with AC on full, time to say night night again. 🙂

To all that know me or know of me, or don’t like me, or just about anyone really.

Adam Adamson still is an awesome shag... Well he is. Honest. But whatever, he has always loved to write, even before he could write. Its been a passion of his since he realised that others would read his stuff and get a little emotional. That gripped him really. Was it good or was it crap? Anyhoo! Enjoy reading what i’ve scribbled and who knows… one day it might make sense.
